We welcome you to the National Human Resource Development (NHRD) Network, Kolkata Chapter!

NHRDN Kolkata Chapter is a non-profit organization managed by an association of professionals belonging to different industries. The Chapter is committed to the promotion of the HRD movement in the country and strengthening the potential of human resource professionals. We have been imparting quality training, research and experience sharing, and industrial exposure because that is what we strive towards. As a result, to groom and transform future People Leaders and to create substantial value for society is our primary goal.

On December 22, 1989, the Chapter held its general body meeting and elected Mr. MG Gupta, the Additional Chief Personnel Manager of SAIL as the Chapter President. Among those present were – Mr. Nair, who addressed the meeting on the future of NHRD and Mr. E Abraham.

The member strength of the Chapter is presently 700. Over time, the Chapter has come up with many initiatives and programs.

Its key initiatives are:

HR Speak

An interactive talk show series aired on YouTube; bringing together several stalwarts of different industries. The talk show is a collection of learning series on Leadership. Consequently, HR trainers, stalwarts & professionals across various industries are invited to share their personal and professional journeys.

Kolkata Kindle

A quarterly journal undertaken to provide an informative platform to our members. It is fed by the experiences of established HR professionals. In addition, it provides a platform to journal articles related to Human Resource Management.

Finally, engaging in informative and learning-oriented sessions and webinars to contribute towards the enhancement of skills of HR professionals forms an integral part of the constant endeavor.

Kolkata Chapter is the “Best Chapter for the year – 2019”. We strive towards excellence with our dedicated efforts to build a rigorous knowledge and skills base for our members.


OBJECTIVE

  • To enhance knowledge, philosophy, processes, and skills relevant to HRD and also ensure their appropriate implementation through exploring and experimenting with new dimensions in the field of HR.
  • To build a rigorous, scientific storehouse of knowledge and skills for HRD.
  • To disseminate HRD knowledge and skills among HRD professionals and practitioners, and share information and experiences relating to HRD.
  • Assisting organizations and agencies in designing and implementing HRD systems, evaluating their impact, and assimilate their feedback for future improvisation.
  • To develop the new ground for the HRD movement in terms of covering & exploring different Human Systems, Organisations and discover innovative approaches and technologies based on nationwide needs.
  • To act as a clearinghouse for all referrals related to HRD activities in the country.
